September Space Weather: What Your Body Needs to Know
Have you been feeling “off” lately—like your sleep is disrupted, your energy is all over the place, or your emotions are running wild? You’re not broken. You’re syncing with the rhythms of space weather.
In this month’s edition of Space Weather & Body Shenanigans, we’re diving into what September 2025 is bringing us—from solar flares to eclipses—and how these cosmic and planetary shifts ripple through your body.
What Is Space Weather?
When I say space weather, I’m talking about solar activity—sunspots, flares, coronal mass ejections (CMEs), and solar winds—that disrupt Earth’s electromagnetic shield. This protective field is what helps us stay safe from solar radiation. When it gets rattled, we often see earthquakes, volcanic activity, tsunamis, and hurricanes increase here on Earth.
And because our bodies are electric systems too, those same disruptions can trigger what I call “body shenanigans”: fatigue, insomnia, anxiety, gut shifts, inflammation, and even vivid dreams.
Solar Activity in September
We’re still in the thick of Solar Cycle 25’s maxima—and it’s not slowing down. Originally predicted to end in March 2025, it’s now expected to last into spring of 2026.
That means more sunspots (about 115 on average) and more chances for those little “solar zits” to burst toward us.
The dates to watch this month:
September 4–10 → Expect heightened solar activity, with the peak predicted around September 5.
These G1-level storms may not create auroras all the way to mid-latitudes, but they will affect your body.
Body Shenanigans to Watch For:
Sleep disruptions
Emotional spikes
Brain fog
Odd heart rhythms
Support Tips:
Epsom salt baths (before or during storm windows)
Daily salt ceremonies with high-mineral sea salt
Extra magnesium
Grounding outdoors—bare feet on the earth
The Moons and Eclipses
September is big for lunar energy.
Full Moon + Lunar Eclipse → September 7 in Pisces. This eclipse lasts over 80 minutes and brings emotional insights, healing, and big releases. Think of it as an invitation to let go of what’s no longer serving you.
New Moon + Partial Solar Eclipse → September 21 in Virgo. This is a reset moment for habits, body care, and seasonal transitions. In the Southern Hemisphere, it’s spring equinox; in the Northern Hemisphere, it’s fall equinox.
Your body will feel this. Expect hormonal shifts, digestive changes, and heightened sensitivity in your nervous system.
Earthly Events
Mother Earth is reflecting these shifts in real time.
Volcanoes → Mount Spurr in Alaska is calming down, but other volcanic activity (like Canlaon in the Philippines) is still being watched.
Hurricanes → September is peak season in the Northern Hemisphere. NOAA predicts 13–19 named storms this year, with 6–10 of them strengthening into hurricanes.
Equinox Shifts → Fall in the North means harvest and slowing down. Spring in the South means rebirth and renewal. Either way, your digestion, hydration, and energy need extra care.
Practices to Help You Sync
When the energy outside is turbulent, here’s how to keep your body steady:
Box Breathing → Inhale 4, hold 4, exhale 4, hold 4.
4-4-2-4 Breathing → Longer exhale to drop your nervous system into rest-and-digest.
Cross-Body Tapping (like EMDR) → Helps calm stress and integrate both sides of the brain.
Track Your Dreams → Especially around eclipses—your subconscious is talking.
Remember: You’re Not Broken
If you’ve been feeling tired, wired, emotional, or just “different,” it’s not a sign you’re broken. It’s a sign you’re syncing with the cosmic rhythms all around us.
Your body is a living antenna, always responding to the dance between sun, moon, and Earth. Learning how to listen—and what to do—can turn overwhelm into empowerment.

Former engineer on several NASA projects turned medical intuitive. I work with female college athletes with gut pain that is taking her out of her sport. Along with the unpredictable pain, she’s struggling with depression and her grades are starting to slip. I can scan her body to see what’s wrong, clarify it for her, map the path forward, and land her back in her best condition, back in her happy life, back in the game.
