Your Symptoms Aren't Random — You're Just Missing the Pattern

“My labs keep coming back normal, but I know something isn’t ok.”

I hear some version of this almost every week. From smart, self-aware, deeply health-conscious people who have done everything right — seen the practitioners, followed the protocols, tracked the metrics — and still can’t get a clean answer.

Here’s what I want to say to every person who has sat in that frustration:

Your body is not lying. Your symptoms are not random. You’re just missing the pattern.

The 3-Layer Pattern Framework

Most practitioners — even good ones — only look at one layer of what is happening in a sensitive body. The biological layer: hormones, inflammation markers, thyroid panels, gut tests. That layer matters. But it doesn’t tell the whole story.

There are two other layers that sensitive bodies respond to just as powerfully.

The environmental layer is about what’s happening around your body — where you are, who you’re with, the season, the electromagnetic load, the collective nervous system state of the people and places you move through. Sensitive bodies are environmental sensors. When the environment changes, the body responds.

The cosmic layer is about the larger energetic field — lunar cycles, seasonal shifts, solar activity, collective emotional pressure points. Ancient cultures tracked these things not because they were mystical but because they were practical. Sensitive bodies respond to more than chemistry.

When you look at all three layers together, what seemed random suddenly has a pattern.

The Story That Changed How I Teach This

I had a client whose symptoms were significant and persistent. We were working through them methodically, but the progress felt slow. Then she went on a two-week trip out of the country.

Her symptoms nearly vanished.

When she came home, they returned within days.

Nothing about her biology changed. Her supplements were the same. Her diet was roughly the same. But her environment was completely different, and that difference was the driver.

That’s the story that pushed me to build the 3-layer framework into every single Body Scan I do. Because if we had only been looking at the biology, we would’ve kept missing the most important variable.

The Hormone Conversation We Need to Have

Hormones are real. They play a role. But they have been sensationalized in the wellness space in a way that sends sensitive people down expensive, exhausting rabbit holes — often without resolution.

In most cases I see, hormonal dysregulation is downstream of nervous system dysregulation. When the nervous system is chronically in sympathetic dominance — which is what happens when sensitive bodies are under-supported, over-stimulated, and trying to operate in the wrong environment — hormonal imbalance follows. Address the nervous system first, and the hormones often come along.

3 Things to Track Starting This Week

  1. Energy and symptom timing.

When in the day do your symptoms spike? When do they ease? Track this for 7 days and look for the clock pattern.

  1. Location and environment shifts.

Does anything change when you leave your house, your city, your regular routine? Your home environment might be contributing more than you think.

  1. Emotional signals that precede physical ones.

Sensitive bodies give an early warning. The irritability, the flatness, the vague unease — those often come before the physical symptom. Start logging both and see what comes first.

A Body Scan session is where we take all of this and decode it together — one focused hour to bring the biological, environmental, and cosmic threads into one picture. If you’ve been living in the frustration of “everything looks fine but nothing feels fine,” this is the session designed for you.

About Amanda

Former engineer on several NASA projects turned medical intuitive. I work with female college athletes with gut pain that is taking her out of her sport. Along with the unpredictable pain, she’s struggling with depression and her grades are starting to slip. I can scan her body to see what’s wrong, clarify it for her, map the path forward, and land her back in her best condition, back in her happy life, back in the game.
