Love Letter to Female Athletes
Dear Athlete,
That pain you’re feeling, it sucks. It hurts and you don’t really have answers to why it’s showing up. You’re playing through it as much as possible, but that’s definitely not helping. You just want to stay in bed and hope it starts to feel better. But there’s no time for that with life, laundry, practice, and games.
You’re struggling to keep your spot on the team, but more importantly you’re struggling to keep your head above water with the rest of your life. You’re seriously contemplating quitting and praying you can just make it to your next vacation. You’re depressed and your doctors are recommending you add another appointment to your calendar to see a therapist. Sounds like a good idea but it’s just another thing to do and that list is long enough.
What’s a girl to do?
I see you.
I’ve been you.
And I can help you.
I want to see you conquer this and succeed across the board – friends, family, sport, and sanity. I had to move across the country, drop all my meds, find help that aligned with my beliefs, and find a team that I could grow with. None of this is required to heal!
Have you talked to anyone about your situation? Your family or your closest friends are good sources to help you reflect on this.
If it’s not your family, team or coaches that are contributing to this issue, then we must look at your day to day schedule and how your body is responding to all you’re putting it through.
I can tell you what’s really going on with your health, map out how to heal it, and put you on track to get back to games, practice, and life without the pain. I can do it faster than how the western medicine model produces answers. It’s a fast way to know if further testing is necessary and it’ll give you peace of mind. Because knowing is half the battle!
If this message resonates with you, let’s jump on a call to get you on the road to recovery! Head to the Work With Me page to schedule an Initial Body Scan.
Love,
Amanda
